Welcome to CineBond. By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use CineBond.
1. About CineBond
CineBond is a social movie discovery platform where users can track movies they've watched, create and share watchlists, follow friends' activity, and get AI-powered film recommendations. The service is operated by Güney Köse ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CineBond. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
3. Your Account
You may sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:
- Choosing a username that does not impersonate others or violate any third-party rights.
- Keeping your account credentials secure.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post reviews, usernames, or content that is abusive, hateful, harassing, or defamatory.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service or its underlying systems.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.
- Spam other users through friend requests, watchlist invitations, or other in-app communications.
5. User-Generated Content
CineBond allows you to submit content such as movie reviews, watchlist names, and descriptions ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you:
- Represent that you own or have the right to share that content.
- Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within the service.
We may remove User Content that violates these Terms at our sole discretion.
6. Premium Features & Subscriptions
Certain features require a premium subscription. Payments are processed through Apple's App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's terms. We do not process payment information directly.
AI-powered features (CineBond AI movie and watchlist recommendations) are subject to a daily usage limit of 3 requests per day, regardless of subscription status. This limit resets every 24 hours and may be adjusted by us at any time.
Subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed through your Apple ID account settings.
7. Third-Party Services
CineBond integrates with the following third-party services. Their respective privacy policies apply:
- Firebase (Google LLC) – authentication, database, cloud functions, and hosting.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) – movie metadata, posters, and streaming provider data.
- Apple Sign-In – authentication.
- Google Sign-In – authentication.
- Google Gemini (Vertex AI) – AI-powered movie and watchlist recommendations.
We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party services.
8. Intellectual Property
All app design, code, and branding are owned by Güney Köse. Movie data and artwork are provided by TMDB under their terms. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of CineBond without prior written permission.
9. Disclaimers
CineBond is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific features will remain available.
Movie availability on streaming platforms is provided by TMDB and may not be current or accurate in your region.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of CineBond, including loss of data or profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your profile, watchlists, reviews, and activity data are permanently removed from our systems.
We may suspend or terminate access to CineBond at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of CineBond after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
